Step 5: Creating User Roles

After creating a CWA, roles can be created to define which users have access to each of the CWAs.

Note: Users can access a CWA even without creating roles by passing the required key (?referrer=) in the URL.

To create a new user role:

1.    In the SkylineGlobe Manager, on the Roles page, click Add. The Role Details page is displayed.

2.    Enter the following details:

Name

Name of the role. Roles define which users have access to each of the CWAs.

Customization ID

ID of the CWA that is associated with this role.

Allow users

List of users or groups assigned to this role, semicolon delimited. Use * to allow any user.

Note:      Roles can be created even for users who do not have accounts. After creating an account (e.g., from the Profile link on the main page of the web application), the user will automatically be assigned the role defined in the Manager.

3.    Click Save.
