Added support for layers in a planar coordinate system
While SFS v2.0 supported only geographic Lat-Long coordinate system layers,
SFS v2.1 also supports planar coordinate systems layers (e.g. UTM). These
layers can be streamed to TerraExplorer projects that use the same coordinate
system.
The BlockWidth tool also supports
a preview for planar projects as well as for Globe projects.
Improvements to the Messages page
Messages mechanism updated to include more status notifications and error
reporting. In addition to the Log file all error messages are now
available to user through the Messages page.
Security improvements
Password fields of data source connections are now masked with asterisks.
Automatic installation of SFS CacheCreator
During the SFS installation the SFS CacheCreator is
automatically installed on the same computer. After the core SFS installation phase
a warning message appears, notifying the user to install or upgrade the SFS
CacheCreator to the latest version on all computers that will be used to build
pre-cached layers.
Warning when importing a pre-cached layer created with an old version of SFS
CacheCreator
It is advised to use the latest version of SFS CacheCreator to build pre-cached
layers. When importing a pre-cached layer that was created with previous versions
of SFS CacheCreator a warning message appears, recommending using the latest version
of the SFS CacheCreator.
Bug fixes
·
Fixed the bug where
imported layers from SFS had no data value samples preview in TerraExplorer
Pro. All layers served from SFS V2.1 now support data value samples preview.
Layers that were converted to pre-cache using old versions of SFS CacheCreator
do not support this feature.
·
Fixed the bug where opening
ArcSDE database dialog in the SFS CacheCreator the 'User' and 'Password' fields
were not displayed.
·
Fixed the bug where invalid
parameters in the ArcSDE data source (e.g. wrong password) caused a delay before
getting a feedback message.
·
Fixed the bug where
validating the ArcSDE connection with a wrong connection parameters displayed
an OK message instead of the appropriate error message.
·
Fixed the bug where layer sorting
order was lost after editing or deleting a layer from the Layers list.
·
Improved the loading time
of non pre-cached ArcSDE layer through SFS.
