Creating a RunTime Pro kit

Use  TerraExplorer RunTime Pro to distribute an application you created with TerraDeveloper. The RunTime installation file is delivered with your TerraDeveloper, and should be sent to your client, and installed on the target computer. This can be done as part of your installation procedure.

  1. Include “TERuntime.exe” – The file “TERuntime.exe” is included with your installation of TerraDeveloper (by default: “C:\Program Files\Skyline\TerraExplorer Pro\redist”). Include this file with your software package.

  2. Set installation to install “TERuntime.exe” – Your installation software should install the file by running it. The RunTime installation supports the following command-line arguments (e.g., “TERuntime.exe /s1”):
“/s” – Silent: The installation displays installation messages but does not require user interaction.
“/s1” – Silent 1: The installation does not display installation messages.
“/d destination” – Destination Directory: The RunTime components are installed according to the path defined in the destination argument.

  3. Include HASP key – Each RunTime requires the presence of a hardware protection (HASP) key to allow the operation of the product. This is a physical hardware key that plugs into the USB or parallel port of the computer.
